What is Rotary?

  • Rotary is a International Service organisation.
  •  Through Rotary clubs, people from all continents and cultures come together to exchange ideas, and form friendships and professional connections while making a difference in their backyards and around the world.
  • Each day, members pour their passion, integrity, and intelligence into completing projects that have a lasting impact.
  •  For more than 110 years, Rotary has bridged cultures and connected continents to champion peace, fight illiteracy and poverty, promote clean water and sanitation, and fight disease.
  • Club activities, social events, and volunteer projects offer networking opportunities that build personal and professional connections.

The Four-Way Test

The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. Of the things we think, say or do
  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Rotary International Theme

Each year the Rotary International President chooses a theme for their year as President. This year’s Rotary International President is Barry Rassin.

Barry Rassin’s theme for the current year is –            Rotary: Be the Inspiration.

"In the forefront of this year’s logo is the crest of a breaking wave, representing my island home of the Bahamas, and the sea that surrounds it. The sea represents inspiration, and the waves are that inspiration striking land. Waves are a primal force of nature: constant, dependable, and unstoppable, they change the world not only through their strength, but also through their... constancy. I consider Rotary to be another force of nature: an unstoppable force that brings positive change throughout the world ... "
